Pump fastening bolts 25nm (18ft-lbs)
Sump fastening bolts 25nm (18ft-lbs)
To ensure the pump primes properly, apply liberal amounts of assembly oil to the pump gears and rotate the shaft.
During installation:
-After the camshaft is installed, slide the oil pump in place, turning it slightly to make sure it’s seated correctly in the block and not binding between the camshaft and the drive gear.
-Once the pump is in place, install the oil sump to pump and torque the fasteners to the proper specifications.
