Fuel Injector 5801569141
Diesel Fuel Injector
RISKS OF DAMAGE:
Installing an injector that has any amount of impurities will compromise its ability to deliver the precise amount of fuel needed for optimal performance.
Installing an injector with a dirty or used copper washer could lead to hot exhaust gas leaking, overheating the injector, and causing it to fail prematurely.
Failure to replace the high-pressure fuel lines after they were loosened or injectors were changed, could result in a cracked fitting and dangerous high-pressure fuel leak.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURES:
Thoroughly clean the surfaces inside the injector bore.
Install a new o-ring on the injector and then a copper washer using grease to hold it on. Before installing the injector in the head, apply some lubricating soap to the o-ring to keep it from rolling on the way in.
Install injector with hold down clamp in place.
Make the injector hold down finger tight. Install the high-pressure fuel lines, making both union fingers tight. torque the injector hold down clamp to specified value, followed by the fuel line unions.
