Have your skid loader oil lines failed and dumped engine oil all over the ground? This distressing problem is inevitable when a skid loader’s oil filter is mounted off the engine to the rear of the machine. The lines connecting the engine and the filter are notoriously compromised, causing extensive damage to the engine, crankshaft, and bearings.

Thankfully, this sudden oil loss problem can be avoided. Disconnect the remote oil filter and thread the filter directly to the filter base on the engine. Otherwise, you should frequently inspect the oil filter hoses to prevent a catastrophic failure.
