It was mid-afternoon on the last day of Elam Horning’s barley season when it happened. The FPT engine powering the combine harvester developed a serious leak. Fuel suddenly began spraying all over the hot engine and machine, creating an extremely dangerous situation.
Thankfully, no fire ignited. But, the Carpenters Run Harvesting crew needed to get back to harvesting immediately. Bad weather was on the way, and the barley crop couldn’t wait much longer. This was a terrible time to be out of commission!
HooverTec was close by, and Elam felt sure they could handle the job. As evening approached, the combine roared back to life, and Elam finished the last of the barley harvest before going home. “I was very satisfied with the time it took HooverTec to get me back into commission!” Elam says.
