The Story of Powering Up
Our journey has been a positive one. It began when Gehman Brothers — owners of a “lawn and garden” business which also specialized in diesel engines, lawnmowers, and chainsaws — welcomed Melvin Hoover to their team as a diesel engine mechanic in 1973. Melvin learned a great deal about the industry and bought the diesel engine part of the business one year later. Melvin, now joined by his four sons, has been in the business for 50 years. We give God the glory for the growth we’ve experienced and wish to continue honoring Him through our business operations and relationships.
