Denso injector KDI TCR: Fits Kohler KDI diesel engines, and JCB and Avant machines.
Torque specs:
Injector hold down clamp: 20 nm (15 ft-lbs)
high-pressure line (injector side)- 25nm (18 ft-lbs)
high pressure line (fuel rail side)- 30 nm (22 ft-lbs)
Poor fuel quality is the primary cause for injector failure.
The electronic injector is not repairable.
When replacing injectors, replace high pressure fuel lines as well.
Each injector has its own unique calibration code. If injectors are pulled, they need to return to their respective cylinders. If injectors are replaced, the new calibration code needs to be entered into the ECU via the diagnostic tool.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE:
Replace the copper injector sealing washer and the injector o-ring.
With injector in the head, line up and thread on the new high-pressure fuel line starting with the injector side, making the unions finger tight.
Install the injector hold down clamp and keep the injector aligned with the high-pressure line while tightening the bolt to the specified torque.
Tighten the high-pressure fuel line unions to specified torque, starting with the one at the injector.
