Lister and Petter were two companies, both founded in the 1860’s. Later, they were both acquired by Hawker Siddley, and were combined to form Lister Petter in 1986.
Lister Petter is a well-known name known across the globe, with engines in almost every country in the world. These engines are designed for continuous operation around the clock with a properly implemented maintenance program. Engines can be designed with 2000-hour service intervals to reduce downtime and service expense to remote locations.
HooverTec has sold many Lister Petter engines since becoming a Petter dealer in the 1970’s. Even though Lister Petter Engines are no longer available for sale in the US, we continue to offer parts and service for engines still in service.
